Changing Price Lists

SumoQuote allows you to have multiple price lists in addition to your product list. This video will show you how to change the price list used in a report or layout.

📘

The "Default Price List" used in layouts and reports is the Product List.

Whatever pricing is listed in your Product List will be the default pricing used in layouts and reports where a price list has not been assigned.

Change a Price List in a Layout

When you change a price list in a layout, the chosen price list becomes the default for every report created from that layout.

1. Go to Configuration > Account Settings > Layouts: Reports
2. Click on My Layouts or Shared Layouts.
3. Click on the pencil icon to the right of the layout you want to edit.
4. Click on Layout Settings in the top right corner.
5. Under the heading Pricing, select the price list you wish to use from the drop down menu.
6. Click Save in the bottom left corner.
7. Once you have completed updating your layout, click Publish in the grey bar at the top of the page.

Change a Price List in a Report

When you change a price list in a report, the chosen price list is only applied to that specific report.

Changing a Price List will overwrite any changes already made to your Quote Details page.

When completing this action, there will be a number of pop-ups that will ask you to confirm pricing.

1. Open any project and open a report.
2. Click on Report Settings in the top right corner.
3. Under Pricing click on the drop down menu and select the price list you want to use.
4. Click Save in the bottom left corner.
5. A confirmation pop-up will appear to confirm your choice. Click Yes, change price list to proceed.
6. Navigate to the Quote Details page.
7. If SumoQuote detects any pricing changes, a pop-up will be shown to notify you.
   1. When you select Use new price, your price will be updated and the notification will be resolved.
   2. When you select Cancel, your price will remain the same and a red exclamation point will appear on the line item description box. You can return to these items later or leave them as they are. Signing functionality of the quote won't be affected.
8. Navigate to the Authorization page, and the same pricing notifications may appear and will need to be resolved (or not).
9. Continue customizing your report.

Add Product List Items in your Quote at the same time!

After you have changed a Price List, you will be able to add items to your quotes from the Product List that have not been added to the specific price list you are using. In other words, Product List items are always available to and searchable in your reports.
