Understanding Solar Energy Data & Solar Setup Options

Solar projects include extra project settings that need to be input to generate the proper information within your report.

Energy Data

1. Open a solar project in SumoQuote and click on Project Settings in the top right corner.
2. Navigate to the Energy Data tab on the left.
3. Customize the fields based on the homeowner information and state utility company:
   1. Escalation rate = annual utility escalation rate
   2. Utility Company = select your homeowner's company
   3. Tariff = utility plan, found on the homeowner's bill or by contacting their Utility Company
   4. Enter usage data either from their monthly bills or as an average monthly bill.

Solar Setup

1. Open a solar project in SumoQuote and click on Project Settings in the top right corner.
2. Navigate to the Solar Setup tab on the left.
3. Enter any rebates that your state offers. You can add as many as you want.
