Editing a Price List

Prices changed in your Price List will not affect the pricing of items in other price lists or in your Product List.

Only Pricing can be Edited in a Price List.

If you need to make edits to an item description, name, unit of measurement, or calculation this must be done through the Product List. Check out Editing Items for more information.

Edit an Item in the Price List

1. Go to Configuration > Account Settings > Product & Pricing
2. Click on the edit icon beside price list you want to edit.
3. Use the search bar to find the item you want to edit. Click on the edit icon beside the item to be edited.
4. Under the heading Price adjustment, add your material, labor and margin values. For assistance with pricing structure options, check out our Line Item Options tutorial.
5. Click Save.
6. Repeat with any other price list items that need pricing updated.

Edit the Name of a Price List

1. Go to Configuration > Account Settings > Product & Pricing
2. Click on the edit icon beside price list you want to edit.
3. Click on the edit icon beside the name of price list.
4. Enter the new name and click enter on your keyboard to save.

Edit an Item in a Report

Note: Quotes can be made up of a combination of items from a specific Price List and your Product List.

• Items that are linked to your Price List will only allow you to edit the prices from your Quote Details page.
• Items that are linked to your Product List (i.e. they were not added to the enabled Price List) will allow you to edit any details from your Quote Details page. Find more information on editing product list items in a report here.

Edit a Price List Item in a Report

1. Open any project, and open a report for editing.
2. Find the item you wish to edit, and click on the chainlink icon in the bottom right corner of the description box.
3. Option A: To edit the item price in the report only:
   1. You can adjust the labor or margin values within the report itself.
   2. You can mark the item as tax exempt or lock the margin.
   3. Click Save when you are finished editing.
   4. Your changes will now appear in the price column of your Quote Details page.
4. Option B: To edit the item price within the PRICE LIST:
   1. Beside the item name and description, click on Edit in Price List.
      1. The Edit Price Detail pop-up will open. You will see the Name, Description, and Unit are greyed out - you cannot edit this information unless you go into the Product list through Account Settings.
      2. Under Price Adjustment edit the values as needed and then click Save.
      3. In the Edit Item pop-up, you can mark the item as tax exempt or lock the margin (if necessary), and then click Save when you are finished.
      4. Your changes will now appear in the price column of your Quote Details page AND in your price list.

Option B will change your Price List Cost Value.

This means that you are not just changing the cost values within this quote, you are changing the cost values across any quote with this Price List enabled for that particular item.
