Editing Items

The following information can be edited through the Product List:

• Name of product or service - does not show up to customer
• Description of product or service - shows up on the quote details page for customer to see
• Unit of measure - square foot (SQFT), linear foot (LF), per piece (PC), hour (HR), etc.
• Material Cost
• Labor Cost
• Margin - markup and margin options
• Price - default price for the item
• Tax Exemption - when checked off, item will be tax exempt

Editing Product List Items

Edit Items in Your Product List

1. Go to Configuration > Account Settings > Product & Pricing
2. Click on the edit icon beside the Product List (default pricing).
3. Click on the edit icon beside the item you wish to edit.
4. The Edit Price Detail pop-up will appear. Edit the fields you need changed.
5. Click Save when you are finished.

Edit a Product List Item in a Report

When you link a Product List Item, you can edit it through the report as well. You have the choice to edit the costs only in this quote, or in the Product List itself.

1. Open any project, and open a report for editing.
2. Navigate to the Quote Details page (and/or the Authorization page).
3. Find the item you wish to edit, and click on the chainlink icon in the bottom right corner of the description box.
4. Option A: To edit the item price in this report only:
   1. Under Price Calculation, adjust the material, labor and/or margin values.
   2. You can mark the item as tax exempt or lock the margin.
   3. Click Save when you are finished editing.
   4. Your changes will now appear in the price column of your Quote Details page.
5. Option B: To edit the item price within the PRODUCT LIST:
   1. Beside the item name and description, click on Edit in Price List.
   2. The Edit Price Detail pop-up will open. Adjust the name, description and unit if desired.
   3. Under Price Adjustment edit the values as needed and then click Save.
   4. In the Edit Item pop-up, you can mark the item as tax exempt or lock the margin (if necessary), and then click Save when you are finished.
   5. Your changes will now appear in the price column of your Quote Details page AND in your Product List.

Option B will change your Product List Values.

This means that you are not just changing the information and cost values within this quote, you are changing the cost values across any quote where this Product List item is used.

Edit a Product List Item in a Layout

When you link a Product List Item in a layout, you can only edit the Product List item itself through the layout.

1. Go to Configuration > Account Settings > Layouts: Reports
2. Select either My Layouts or Shared Layouts.
3. Click on the edit pencil icon to open the layout you want to edit.
4. Navigate to the Quote Details page (and/or the Authorization page), and click on the chainlink icon of the item you want to edit.
5. Beside the item name and description, click on Edit in Price List.
6. The Edit Price Detail pop-up will open. Adjust the name, description and unit if desired.
7. Under Price Adjustment edit the values as needed and then click Save.
8. In the Edit Item pop-up click Cancel to exit the pop-up screen.
9. Your changes will now appear in the price column of your Quote Details or Authorization page AND in your Product List.
