Material & Work Orders are available on Heavy plans and above.

Material orders and work orders allow you to quickly transfer the content from a signed report to production.

Using Material & Work Orders

Orders can only be created after a quote is signed. The items selected during signing will be added into the created order.

To create a material order or work order:

  1. On your home “Projects” page, click on any project that has a signed quote.
  2. Click the Create Order button on the signed quote.
  3. To switch between order types, or select another order layout, click Choose a different layout at the top of the page to select the layout you'd like to use for your order.
  4. Edit the pages like you would edit a quote to create your order.
  5. Click Review & Share to send your order or export it as a PDF.

Setting Up Material Order Layouts

Material orders take the signed items from a quote and transfers them into a simpler order form for suppliers.

Level 2 Setup Recomended

Line item based pricing makes material orders quick and easy to build. We recommend getting set up to Level 2 before getting started.

To create a material order layout:

  1. Click on the Configuration tab.
  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. Click on Layouts.
  4. Copy an existing layout and name it 'Material Order'.
  5. Drag pages that you don't want to the "Excluded Pages" section at the bottom left.
  6. Click 'add a section' to add a material order section. (This will auto-populate once a quote is signed.)
  7. Click 'Add Notes' to add a notes section for your material orders.
  8. Once you have completed your layout make sure to hit "Publish" to save your work.

Setting Up Work Order Layouts

Work orders take the signed items from a quote and transfers them into a project plan for staff or sub-trades.

To create a work order layout:

  1. Click on the Configuration tab.
  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. Click on Layouts.
  4. Click on Orders.
  5. You can click 'Create Layout' to build an order from scratch OR click the pencil icon next to an existing order to edit.
  6. Now you can edit the layout and its individual pages to create your standard work order.
  7. You can also use templates and create a boilerplate "Scope of Work" page for time savings down the road.
  8. Once you have completed your layout make sure to hit "Publish" to save your work.
